We’re Mike and Taylor, the husband-and-wife team behind The Hutt. What started as a simple dream slowly became a six-year labor of love—built with family, friends and large gatherings  at the center of every decision. From the very beginning, our vision was to create a place where our children, our extended family, and generations to come could all gather under one roof, make memories, and truly feel at home.

We chose to build this project on Dale Hollow Lake—one of the most beautiful and unspoiled lakes in the country. With its 600 miles of shoreline, clear water, and peaceful hills, it’s the kind of place that naturally slows you down and brings people closer. We fell in love here long before The Hutt existed, and it felt right to build something meaningful in a place that already meant so much to us.

The Hutt was designed to be more than just a place to stay. It’s a space meant for big family dinners, late-night conversations, kids running around with cousins, and everyone having a comfortable place to sleep—together. Every detail reflects our heart for hospitality, connection, and legacy.

Our hope is that one day The Hutt will be passed down to our grandchildren, carrying with it stories, traditions, and memories that grow richer with time. When you stay here, you’re not just a guest—you’re part of something we’re incredibly proud to share.
